Perched high among the flowering gums, the white-feathered cockatoo watches quietly over Country. With his yellow crest lifted like a crown and his sharp eyes tracing the curves of the land, he is still—but never silent. He carries with him the old stories, held in feather and bone, in song and screech.
Below him, the banksias bloom in bursts of ochre and rust. The hills stretch out in gentle folds, rich with memory and spirit. The earth wears its colours proudly—deep, warm, and ancient.
The cockatoo does not need to speak. His presence is enough. He is a watcher, a messenger, a reminder. Of resilience. Of connection. Of strength rooted like the marri trees that hold him.
